New Loadshedding schdedule effective from 19th May
Submitted by saiyeek on Tue, 05/19/2009 - 19:37.The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has brought down the load shedding hours by four hours a day on average.
The load shedding hours have been reduced after production of run-off-the-river projects increased in the recent days.

Project Competition

HPR-Nepal (Hamro Prabidhi, Ramro Nepal) committee organised project competition from 6th May to 7th May, here at Pulchowk Campus. The competition had participants from different colleges and universities of Nepal. Event organised under the facilitation of Janak Pokharel, was inaugurated by Mr. Mahabir Pun. Mr. Babu Ram Bhattarai, Dean IOE, and Mr. Modhnath Prasrit (former Education Minister) graced the competition as Special Guests. Mr. Prasrit gave a presentation on bases of prosperous Nepal during after the inauguration.

ANNFSU panel wins majority, Prakash Sapkota elected President

ANNFSU panel won majority seats in todays FSU elction leaving a single member seat to NSU. Sarika Kumari Mishra, the only female candidate from NSU will join the 11-member FSU led by elected president Prakash Sapkota (063/BArch). He will be assisted by elected vice president Shyam Sundar Shah, and elected Secretary Pratik Sharma, elected joint-secretary Kabita Gyawali and elected Treasurer Salbir Limbu.
Bishnu Devkota, Alok Samrat Kafle, Manoj Kumar Singh, Deepak Shrestha and Jitendra Singh will join the team as elected members.
The day before the election

Though most of the departments didn't have regular classes today, huge bunch of students were seen in the college premises. Students in groups were talking about the same topic though, "The FSU election" to be held tommorrow. As per the code of conduct of the election, the publicity campaign was over by tommorrow officially. Unofficial persuasion of students' to vote for the candidates by their supporters was immensely seen. Vote appeal through phone calls and sms text messages was also prevalent!
ioelive team went to observe the ongoing preparation for electronic voting. The venue for the voting will be Library Hall. Some of the snaps of the election hall follows:

Various students' unions intensified their publicity campaign today as it was the last day for doing so as per the FSU election codes of conduct. Supporters of different students' unions like ANNFSU, ANNISU(R), NSU, NRSU and independent candidates were busy distributing their manifestos and convincing general students to vote for them.
Free Student Union Election - 2065
Submitted by saiyeek on Mon, 03/16/2009 - 03:50.Free Student Union Election 2065 is going to be held on 19th March 2009 (6th Chaitra 2065 B.S.). All the eligible student voters of Batch 062 to Batch 065, BArch 061 Batch of Bachelors level, students from M.Sc. and Ph.D. level, totalling to 1816 can cast their vote. 5 different political campus committees have submitted their candidacy for different positions of FSU panel.
Following students wings of different political parties has submitted their panel candidacy.

- Student wing of Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist-Leninist)
- All Nepal National Independent Students' Union(Revolutionary)
