Project Competition

Project Competition at Pulchowk CampusHPR-Nepal (Hamro Prabidhi, Ramro Nepal) committee organised project competition from 6th May to 7th May, here at Pulchowk Campus. The competition had participants from different colleges and universities of Nepal. Event organised under the facilitation of Janak Pokharel, was inaugurated by Mr. Mahabir Pun. Mr. Babu Ram Bhattarai, Dean IOE, and Mr. Modhnath Prasrit (former Education Minister) graced the competition as Special Guests. Mr. Prasrit gave a presentation on bases of prosperous Nepal during after the inauguration.

In the competition session, a total of 18 project presentations were demonstrated. Each project was followed by interaction with the project team by the jury and the audience. First 9 project presentations were demonstrated in the first day while the rest were demonstrated the next day.

The titles of the projects were:

  2. Briquette Production from Pine needles
  3. Automatic Meter Reading
  4. Rural Cold Storage
  5. Information and Communication Center
  6. Conversion of Gasoline Car into an Electric Hybrid
  7. Village Network Parts
  8. Dynamic Solar Pump
  9. Lighting Nepalese Villages from Exhausted Cell
  10. Community Scale Gasifier based Orthodox tea Drying System
  11. Low Capacity Domestic Solar Power System
  12. Metallic Instructional Improved Cooking Stove
  13. Quality Water Supply System
  14. Gravity Ropeway in Nepal
  15. Bio-diesel Production from Jatropha
  16. Pumping Water through Air Compressor
  17. Risk Husk Gasifier on household cooking
  18. Animal Driven Multi Crop Plants with Fertilizer Drill

The jury consisted of

  • Dr. Ajya Dixit (Water Nepal Foundation)

The event was supported by Free Student's Union, Pulchowk Campus. According to the organisers, the winners will be announced later amidst a funtion where they will be felicitated.
